The Australian Government Issues Chrysotile Fact Sheet

In April 2019 Australia’s Asbestos Safety and Eradication Agency issued a Chrysotile Fact Sheet confirming that chrysotile asbestos causes mesothelioma cancer.  This is the also conclusion of every other medical and scientific health agency in the world including NIOSH, the WHO and OSHA.  Despite the overwhelming medical and scientific evidence to the contrary, companies that exposed workers and their families to chrysotile asbestos try to peddle a myth that chrysotile is somehow “special” and “safe.” Don’t be fooled.
